HSA Banking Made Simple
Tuesday, November 22, 2011

OptumHealth Bank recently unveiled an entirely new HSA banking experience. Now when account owners log into their online accounts, they can more quickly and easily:

  • Pay bills and set up recurring payments (such as monthly orthodontist payments)
  • Keep a list of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers they pay from their HSA
  • Deposit contributions into their HSA by transferring money from other personal accounts

A new "reimburse yourself" feature allows users to reimburse themselves with money from their HSA for qualified medical expenses paid out of pocket.  View this brief video to see how the new banking experience works.

Account owners’ feedback and suggestions helped design the new experience. OptumHealth Bank also asked a sample group of account owners to test it to make sure it was simple, intuitive and a pleasure to use.

Logging in to the improved HSA site
As part of the improved site we have made changes to the log in process. The first time users log in, they will need to register.  They will be asked for some basic personal information and will also be asked to set up several security questions.

These improvements to the HSA experience will make it easier for account holders to plan, save and pay for health care.
